Bio Gas Plant

Kitchen waste is the best alternative for Biogas Production. It is produced when bacteria degrade organic matter in the absence of air. Biogas contains around 55-65% of Methane, 30-40% carbon dioxide. In this way we utilize all kitchen and food waste for generation of biogas in our MMIT Campus.

The details of biogas plant are as follow:

• Total value of Biogas is 7cu.m 
• Gas storage volume is 2.5 cu.m 
• Maximum quantity of food waste feed is 25 liter/day 
• Daily stove cooking time at high flame is 3 Hrs.  
• Daily required biogas slurry is 30-35 Liter
